Nora Buschmann: International Concert Guitarist and Creative Repertoire Innovator
Nora Buschmann was born in Berlin. After studying classical guitar at the Franz Liszt Conservatory in Weimar, she continued her education in the solo performance class of Hubert Käppel in Cologne. She also attended masterclasses with renowned virtuosos such as David Russell, Oscar Ghiglia and Thomas Müller-Pering.
Today, Nora Buschmann is regarded as one of the leading international classical guitar soloists. She is invited to major festivals, performs with orchestras, teaches masterclasses and serves as a juror. She maintains close collaborations with significant contemporary composers for classical guitar and regularly performs their works.
A defining aspect of her artistic identity is her unique approach to expanding the traditional guitar repertoire. To understand new musical worlds authentically, she immerses herself in their cultural environments. She lived for several years in Thessaloniki and explored Latin American guitar music during extensive tours. These experiences led to recordings such as “Suite Orientale” and “Apassionata Latina”.

Performing at Siccas Guitars
Every classical guitarist who performs at Siccas Guitars brings a distinct musical path to the instrument — shaped by years of study, competition experience, and the particular musical tradition they have chosen to inhabit. The classical guitar demands sustained technical commitment and a deep engagement with a repertoire that spans from the Renaissance through to works written for living performers. It is an instrument whose full possibilities only reveal themselves over time.
