Born into a musical family, Zoe Barnett’s journey with the guitar began at the tender age of four. Her early start swiftly saw her emerging as a rising star in the classical guitar world, captivating audiences with her profound artistry and unique approach. Embarking on a solo career, she has performed at renowned venues such as Wigmore Hall, Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall, and Kings Place, firmly establishing herself as a formidable force in the classical music scene.

In 2022, Zoe garnered significant recognition as an International Guitar Foundation Young Artist. During this period, she premiered new and compelling works for the guitar by the acclaimed composer Zhenyan Li, showcasing her ability to bring fresh and innovative compositions to life.

Zoe’s musical explorations extend internationally, with performances in Spain, China, Germany, The Netherlands, and Italy. Her artistry has been showcased not only in live performances but also through recordings and radio appearances, further solidifying her reputation as a global ambassador for classical guitar. In the UK, she has appeared as a concerto soloist, collaborating with various orchestras and adding another dimension to her already impressive portfolio.

One of Zoe’s most distinctive contributions to the classical guitar world is her innovative technique of performing while standing. This method, described as “a total engagement and communication of the performer’s mind, body, and soul,” adds an extra layer of dynamism to her performances, creating a unique and immersive experience for her audiences.
