From May 9 to June 22, 2025, the northern Italian city of Vercelli will become the epicenter of the classical guitar world. Presented by the Angelo Gilardino Association in collaboration with the City of Vercelli, this exceptional exhibition will be hosted at the Leone Museum and the prestigious cultural venue ARCA—offering one of the most remarkable guitar showcases of the year.
An Exhibition of Superlatives
More than 50 historic guitars will be brought together in this one-of-a-kind event—crafted by some of the most legendary luthiers in music history. On display will be instruments by:
- Antonio de Torres, father of the modern concert guitar
- José and Manuel Ramírez, icons of the Spanish guitar-making tradition
- Enrique Garcia and Francisco Simplicio, masters of the Catalan school
- Francisco Gonzales, with an instrument of particular historical importance
- Hermann Hauser I & II, whose guitars were played by Segovia
- Robert Bouchet, Daniel Friederich, and many more figures whose craftsmanship shaped the evolution of the instrument
