Dominik Wurth – Guitar Maker

Dominik Wurth grew up in a small rural village on the edge of the Black Forest in Germany. In his early twenties, he discovered the guitar and began playing and practicing the instrument with increasing dedication. As his technical abilities improved, he found himself in need of a higher-quality instrument. This led him to read books about guitar making, seeking a deeper understanding of differences in quality and preparing himself for purchasing the right guitar.

After studying several books on the subject, the temptation to build a guitar himself became stronger than the desire to buy a new one, and Dominik Wurth began constructing his first classical guitar. Following extensive studies in the art of lutherie at the University of Stringed Instruments in Zwickau, he was eventually awarded the title of “Master of the Plucked Instrument Maker’s Handicraft.”
