Oreste Lohs is a young luthier from northern Italy, working from his workshop in Arco on Lake Garda. He studied under Daniele Chiesa and has since developed a personal building philosophy grounded in tradition, craftsmanship, and a refined sensitivity to sound.
He intentionally builds only a small number of instruments each year, dedicating full attention to every single guitar. Oreste Lohs prefers using hand tools over machines and avoids the use of electricity whenever possible, maintaining a direct and tangible connection with the wood.
He draws inspiration from his mentor Daniele Chiesa, a leading representative of the Granada school of guitar making. His guitars are born from a deep passion for the instrument, for tradition, and for tone. Every step of the process is carried out with great care and sensitivity, combining discipline with artistic expression.
