Overview
Overview
Alessandro Perciaccante is a classical guitar luthier dedicated to crafting beautiful, unique guitars that meet the individual needs of his clients. He discovered his passion for guitar making at the European Institute of Guitar Making in Spain, where he built his first guitar under the tutelage of Master Luthier Stephen Hill and his apprentice Evan Kingma. Perciaccante fell in love with the guitar-making process and decided to stay and become Hill’s apprentice. Currently, he works as Hill’s assistant and a teacher in the guitar-making courses at the EIGM. Perciaccante specializes in making classical and flamenco guitars, following the traditional Spanish construction method. His guitars are influenced by the Granada school of guitar makers, particularly the work of Antonio Marin Montero and his collaboration with the French luthier Robert Bouchet. He also draws inspiration from the great makers of the past, including Don Antonio de Torres, considered the father of the Spanish guitar. He builds a limited number of guitars each year, allowing him to achieve the high level of refinement he desires in his instruments. In 2019, he participated in the International Guitar Making Competition Antonio Marin Montero, where he placed fourth with his flamenco guitar, a remarkable achievement for someone who had only built four guitars.
The 2023 Alessandro Perciaccante guitar epitomizes the essence of traditional Spanish guitar craftsmanship, capturing the attention of musicians with its beauty and exceptional sound quality. Meticulously crafted using high-quality materials, this guitar features a spruce soundboard paired with striking Indian rosewood for the back and sides, a combination that produces a rich, harmonically vibrant Spanish sound. The guitar's basses are particularly impressive, offering a deep and resonant quality that enriches its overall sonic depth. In contrast, the trebles are sweet and refined, providing a delightful balance to the robust basses and resulting in a beautifully harmonious sound profile.
