Altamira is a well-established brand that has built up a solid reputation in recent years thanks to great instruments of consistent quality at excellent value for money. Altamira guitars are made by a highly trained and experienced team of luthiers under the direction of the owner and luthier Hanson Yao, who was an apprentice at the famous Rodriguez workshop in Spain.
The sound quality of this handmade top-of-the-range model from Altamira surprises us every time we receive a L'Orfeo model. The singing tone, the quick response, and the good balance are evidence of great experience in guitar building and offer the player a wide range of expression. The quality of the workmanship and the choice of wood are very rare in this price range and therefore the price-performance ratio for this guitar is excellent.
