Casimiro Lozano has been building handmade guitars with an insatiable obsession for more than 30 years. He has strived to improve his work every day so that his perfectionist zeal has led him to a renowned and deserved prestige among the most illustrious luthiers. Lozano's first starting reference was the sound of a Fleta, guitars that display power and a crisp, deep and sonorous sound. His guitars are played and praised by musicians around the world such as Göran Söllscher, Fernando Espí, Pedro Jesús Gómez, Takeshi Tezuka, Edgar Petejo, Wim Brioen, Hans shield, Reza Solimani, Carsten Grondahl, Carlos Cunha, Miguel Carvalhinho, Ricardo Barceló. Casimiro Lozano is one of the leading builders in Spain building guitars with double tops.
This anniversary model is a stunning example of Lozano's craftmanship. The best possible woods were chosen for these models, and the grain and coloration of this instrument is very striking. The condition is just splendid and one can hardly see that the guitar has been played. Clear, big trebles with great projection, accompanied by almost cello-like basses, result in an inspiring guitar to perform on. With its double side construction, the guitar is very responsive and has a beautiful, almost percussive timbre. The sustain is long and appealing with an elegant overtone array. Also, the playability is excellent due to the perfect setup.
