Overview

The Australian guitar maker Domenic Roscioli has been building classical guitars in Adelaide since 2001. He learned from both Richard Howell and Jim Redgate and showed fantastic skills early on. We have already had several guitars from Domenic in our range, and this instrument stands out clearly. It is a very modern Lattice model with a slightly raised fingerboard and armrest. The rosette is very elaborately crafted with a beautiful mosaic, reminiscent of the guitars of Granada. In addition, the wood used for back and sides is very strongly grained with a particularly fascinating pattern.

This 2023 guitar, meticulously crafted as a homage to the legendary Ignacio Fleta design, is a remarkable achievement in modern guitar construction. It closely emulates the revered sound of the original Fleta instrument, renowned for its dynamic power and crystal-clear tonality. The guitar's sound profile is a stunning example of acoustic excellence, offering a rich and compelling auditory experience that comes strikingly close to the classic Fleta guitars. The excellent separation of voices in this guitar is particularly notable, allowing for a clear distinction in complex musical passages. The trebles boast a quick and lively response, adding a vibrant and energetic dimension to the guitar’s overall sound. This responsiveness makes the guitar especially appealing for pieces that demand intricate and rapid articulation.

In contrast, the basses of this guitar are crisp and focused, underpinning the higher registers with a solid and resonant foundation. The fundamental depth of the basses contributes to a well-rounded and balanced sound, making this guitar an ideal choice for concert performances. Its great projection and rich tonal palette ensure that it can fill any performance space with its captivating sound. Beyond its acoustic qualities, this guitar also carries an interesting historical background, drawing inspiration from one of the most influential guitar makers of the 20th century. As a pre-loved instrument, this guitar is in excellent condition with only several superficial playing wears.

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
