Ennio Giovanetti - 2021 Concert No. M-1
Ennio Giovanetti - 2021 Concert No. M-1
Overview
Overview
Ennio Giovanetti has been building guitars since 1998 in his workshop in Sariano di Gropparello, near Piacenza (Italy). He studied guitar making in Milan with Enrico Bottelli, where he got to know many guitars by Antonio de Torres, Simplicio, Garcia, and many others. His guitars are built traditionally but are well recognizable by their elements. Behind the tie block, for example, a part of the bridge was excavated to optimize the angle of the strings and thus promote vibrations.
The 2021 Ennio Giovanetti guitar merges simplicity with elegance through its use of dark, Indian rosewood, reflecting the luthier's preference for high-quality materials. Its rosette, drawing inspiration from traditional Madrilenian designs reminiscent of the work by Santos Hernandez and Domingo Esteso from the 1920s, adds a distinctive visual appeal with its contrast of light and dark patterns. Beyond its appearance, the guitar delivers a sound that is both strong and focused, suitable for a variety of musical styles. Although pre-owned, the instrument has a stable repair next to the fingerboard on the bass side, which doesn't detract from its sound quality or playability, alongside minor superficial signs of use. The 2021 Ennio Giovanetti guitar stands as an example of how traditional design and modern craftsmanship can coexist, appealing to those who value the integrity and aesthetic of their instrument.

Classical Guitars
The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.Look all products of the collection -
