Ennio Giovanetti – 2023 “Daniel Friederich”

Ennio Giovanetti – 2023 “Daniel Friederich”

Overview

Ennio Giovanetti has been building guitars since 1998 in his Sariano di Gropparello workshop near Piacenza (Italy). He studied guitar making in Milan with Enrico Bottelli, where he got to know many guitars by Antonio de Torres, Simplicio, Garcia, and many others. His guitars are built traditionally but are well recognizable by their own elements.

This remarkable 2023 Ennio Giovanetti guitar is a stunning example of the luthier's consistent and meticulous craftsmanship. Drawing inspiration from the iconic designs of Daniel Friederich, this guitar possesses an unmistakable charm and elegance. At the heart of this instrument lies a beautiful spruce soundboard, personally sourced from Daniel Friederich himself. Its unique construction features five fan braces and a thin cedar brace beneath the bridge. Complementing the soundboard, the back, and sides are fashioned from top-tier Indian rosewood, hand-selected for its exceptional quality and rich appearance. Every detail of this 2023 Ennio Giovanetti guitar is executed with the utmost precision, resulting in a masterful instrument that delights both visually and acoustically. Its impressive balance is marked by solid trebles and deep, dark basses, culminating in a captivating sonic experience. As a faithful homage to the original Daniel Friederich guitars, this Giovanetti creation not only captures their essence but also showcases the luthier's deep understanding and appreciation of the legendary designs.

Ennio Giovanetti – 2023 “Daniel Friederich” Classical Guitar Review
The Timeless Legacy of SANTOS HERNANDEZ | The Weekly Guitar Meeting #54 - Hill, Hartig, Giovanetti

While this guitar is sold, these are ready for you

  • Classical Guitar

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
