Enrico Bottelli - 2019 "Special"

Enrico Bottelli - 2019 "Special"

Overview

Enrico Bottelli was born in Milan, Italy in 1961 and is one of the most respected and renowned luthiers in Europe. He gained his first experience in guitar building under the guidance of master luthier Carlo Raspagni in 1981 and began building classical guitars as a professional luthier in 1988. However, he not only builds excellent instruments, which are appreciated by professional musicians and collectors worldwide for their elegant, very appealing musical attributes, their refined beauty, and precise craftsmanship but also passes on his knowledge and experience to some very talented luthiers by training them.

This beautiful 2019 Special model is one of Enrico Bottelli's most elaborate models. The inlay work is fine and elegant, and the choice of woods is simply gorgeous. The back and sides are made of extremely rare, old Brazilian rosewood (CITES certified), which presents splendid colors. The soundboard is made of premium Italian spruce, which is both lightweight and responsive. A particularly eye-catching detail is the flamed mahogany neck, which adds a beautiful touch to the entire instrument. The Rodgers tuners are also of the highest quality and perfectly complement this unique guitar.

What an elegant, noble and classy guitar. Everything from the marquetry to the shellac polish and especially the sound is absolutely perfect and refined. Bell-like treble strings and cello-like basses combine to create a balanced and controlled guitar with endless possibilities of timbre and dynamics. This wonderful and rare Bottelli guitar is a true gem in terms of aesthetics and acoustics.

While this guitar is sold, these are ready for you

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
