Friederike Linscheid- 2020

Friederike Linscheid- 2020

Overview

Inspired by her love of music and creative, craft activities, Friederike Linscheid completed her apprenticeship as a guitar maker at the instrument making school in Mittenwald/Germany. Since then she has been working as a luthier in Berlin. Guitar building combines many of her interests: music, art, design and scientific work in equal measure. The precise handcrafting of carefully selected woods is of central importance to her for the sound and appearance of her guitars, just as the profound knowledge of the acoustic qualities.

The construction is based on the Spanish tradition. In addition, the soundboard bracing follows the concept of Robert Bouchet, with a filigree control of the thicknesses. Discreet structural and optical details go beyond the conventional frame. For example, the soundboard falls off the treble side above the soundhole, increasing the height of the fretboard and thus improving playability and sound projection in the high treble. It is therefore a guitar which is powerful enough to go on stage, with a very comfortable playability and everything a professional guitarist would be looking for.

This guitar is French polished and has first quality Scheller tuners. It is an absolute gem and definitely worth a try if you are looking for an outermost singing traditional guitar with great volume and lovely craftsmanship.

  • Classical Guitar

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
