Friederike Linscheid - 2023 No. 61 Doubletop

Friederike Linscheid - 2023 No. 61 Doubletop

Overview

Inspired by her love of music and creative craft activities, Friederike Linscheid completed her apprenticeship as a guitar maker at the instrument-making school in Mittenwald/Germany. Since then, she has been working as a luthier in Berlin. Guitar building combines her interests: music, art, design, and scientific work in equal measure. The precise handcrafting of carefully selected woods is of central importance to her for the sound and appearance of her guitars, just as the profound knowledge of the acoustic qualities.

Every nuance of this instrument reflects the profound expertise and dedication that has gone into its creation.

Central to its auditory allure is its spruce soundboard, handpicked for its ability to produce a sonorous, warm, and lush timbre. This luxurious tonal experience is further elevated by the resonant qualities of the meticulously selected Madagascar rosewood that graces its back and sides. Complementing its auditory excellence, the 64 cm scale offers unparalleled ease for the left hand, rendering a tactile delight for the guitarist.

A notable feature is the balsa double-top, meticulously integrated to enhance the guitar's natural acoustics while magnifying its volume, making it resound with an intensity that belies its elegant appearance.

Drawing inspiration from the legendary designs of maestros Robert Bouchet and Dominique Field, the Friederike Linscheid Nr. 59 reverently embraces time-honored crafting techniques. The incorporation of spruce bracing ensures durability while fortifying its tonal richness. The unique double sides, carved from the same esteemed Madagascar rosewood, promise stellar projection coupled with an enthralling spectrum of tonal hues, making this instrument a magnet for passionate musicians and discerning collectors alike.

This Friederike Linscheid 2023 Nr. 61 isn't merely an instrument; it's a symphonic masterpiece, a testament to the zenith of guitar craftsmanship.

Friederike Linscheid 2023 No. 61 Classical Guitar Review

While this guitar is sold, these are ready for you

  • Classical Guitar

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
