Overview
Gábor Horváth was born in 1986 in Salgótarján (Hungary). After studying classical guitar and jazz percussions, he met the violin maker András Nagy and the passion for instrument making started. Gábor Horváth completed studies at the Musical Instrument Making School of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in 2010, where he obtained an official qualification as a Bowed and Plucked Musical Instrument Maker and Restorator. From 2013 on, Gábor devoted himself to classical guitar making, and he now works in his workshop in Bátonyterenye.
What an impressive volume for a traditionally built fan-braced guitar. The tone production feels similar to that of a grand piano, and each note develops with clarity, volume, and confidence. The voicing is very easy to define, and excellent tone separation combined with a reliable, well-balanced tone offers fantastic intelligibility in the polyphony. Finally, the future owner of this charming instrument will enjoy a top-notch left-hand comfort and refined chamber music playing experience thanks to the extra sound port on the side.
