Joachim Schneider - 1989

Joachim Schneider - 1989

Overview

This is a classical guitar made by the German luthier Joachim Schneider in 1989. Joachim was born in 1939 in Markneukirchen and started to work at the workshop of his grandfather Willy Blahowetz. In 1961 he finished his training at the Chamber of Crafts with the "Meisterprüfung". One year later he took over his grandfather's workshop. He received many international awards for his craftmanship. This guitar has a cedar top and back and sides are made of Indian rosewood. The sound is nice and balanced with warm bases and smooth trebles giving the guitar a typical cedar sound. Intonation and playability are perfect on this 25 years old guitar.

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
