Karl-Heinz Römmich - 2013

Overview

Karl-Heinz Römmich was born in 1953 and has built guitars for over 40 years. His instruments are very sought after for the deepness and complexity of tone. Built following the Spanish tradition, Römmich guitars are made with the finest woods, dried over four decades, are entirely hand-made, and french polished. Prominent guitarists such as Artyom Dervoed, Marcin Dylla, Hans-Werner Huppertz, Łukasz Kuropaczewski, Thu Le,Thomas Offermann, Pavel Steidl, Marko Topchii, Roman Viazovskiy and Xue Fei Yang, just to name a few, played on Römmich guitars.

Crafted by Karl-Heinz Römmich, one of Germany's finest luthiers, this guitar stands out as a beautiful instrument that excels both aesthetically and sonically. It strikes a remarkable balance and versatility in its sound, with lyrical trebles that provide outstanding expressive possibilities. These trebles allow musicians to capture the subtle nuances of any composition, beautifully complemented by strong, solid basses that lay a robust foundation for the guitar’s overall sound. This dynamic interplay between the trebles and basses enables rich tonal exploration, making the guitar suitable for a wide variety of musical expressions and styles. Its powerful projection is capable of filling any concert hall, making it an ideal choice for professional performances. Despite being a pre-loved instrument, it remains in great condition, showing only minor signs of use.

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
