Overview

Kazuo Sato is an internationally well-known luthier who apprenticed with Kuniharu Nobe in Japan from 1965 to 1971. After that period he moved to David Rubio's workshop where he worked together with other famous luthier like Paul Fischer. In 1974 he established his own workshop. This 2013 Kazuo Sato Prelude model has a Alpine Spruce top and back and sides are made of Indian rosewood. The rosette is decorated with the typical beautiful floral motivs. The design is characterized by a simple elegance. The guitar is equipped with Alessi tuners and has a French-polish finish. It responds quickly, is strong, balanced and has an equilibrated character. The instrument is wearing a few playing marks on the top, back and sides. The tuning machines are made by Alessi. • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
