Overview
Overview
In 1967, Panhuyzen built his first guitar in the workshop of his uncle Edgar Mönch who immigrated to Toronto in 1965. In 1971, Mönch returned to Germany from Canada and Kolya started to work in his uncle’s workshop. In 1974, Kolya started with his own workshop and in 1992 with a second workshop in Toronto, Canada.
During his career Kolya Panhuyzen made over 400 guitar that are admired by worldwide known guitarists like: Carlo Domeniconi, Julian Bream, John Williams, Hubert Käppel, Sonja Prunnbauer, Zoran Dukic.
This classical guitar was built by Kolya Panhuyzen in 1991. The two-piece spruce top of this guitar is framed by beautiful dark and light purfling. The two-piece back and the sides are made of Indian Rosewood. The guitar is in very good condition and has only some minor traces on the back and the sides. The sound is typical for Panhuyzen guitars: Very balanced, superior sustain, impressive basses. The tuning machines are made by Sloane. Included is a hardshell case.

Classical Guitar
The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.Look all products of the collection -
