Lisa Weinzierl - 2018

Lisa Weinzierl - 2018

Overview

Lisa Weinzierl has been enriching the Siccas Guitars team since the beginning of 2017. Not only does she take care of repairs, restorations, wishes and needs of our customers in our workshop, which often allows her to work on many interesting instruments by well-known luthiers, but she also studies with an impressive passion and curiosity any instrument that can be found in our assortment.
After completing her apprenticeship in lutherie at the renowned Instrument-Building-School in Mittenwald/Germany where she completed as her year's best student. After her that Lisa initially moved to France. There she gained experience in the workshop of Christopher Schuetz in Villes-sur-Auzon and also learned the French language. Later Lisa gained experience in the restoration of string instruments with Peter Ziegler in Unterhaching/Germany and in the workshop of Gert Esmyol in Munich where she deepened her knowledge and skills.
Of course, she let the accumulated experience flow into this wonderful guitar. Her preference for the elegance of traditional guitars. She uses finest alpine spruce for the top and Indian rosewood for back and sides. The optically simple but noble ebony purfling and the fine veneer in subtle green frame the shape of the guitar in a very elegant way. The German V-joint, the rosette specially made for this guitar and the French shellac polish express the special emphasis that Lisa puts on craftsmanship at the highest level. The playability and feel is fantastic, and the slightly raised fretboard makes playing in higher registers very comfortable.
This traditionally built guitar with its balance and its very open singing sound is really convincing. The guitars’ richness of colors, the good dynamic as well as the projection and the wonderful sustain are very impressive.
The high quality mechanics are from Scheller, a Hiscox case is included.

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
