Overview
Manuel de Soto y Solares (1839-1906) was a guitar maker from Sevilla and had his workshop in the ‘Calle Cerragería’ like Antonio de Torres and Manuel was also inspired by the work of Antonio as we can also see from this guitar. This guitar is in remarkable condition when we take in consideration that it is almost 150 years old. It has two very well repaired cracks on the top and some minor repairs on the back. The rosette has beautiful mother of pearl inlays that are showing floral motifs. The back and the sides are made of beautiful reddish looking rosewood. This guitar has so many tonal qualities and beautiful colors. It's so exciting for us to discover anew every day the potential of this instrument. A hard-shell case is included.
