Marco Gilioli is a very talented Italian luthier based near Milan, Italy. His instruments are built according to the traditional Spanish method, focusing on both the sound and the needs of the guitarist. "This guitar is the special model built for the Roma Expo Guitars 2022, and like all instruments of mine, it is inspired by the Spanish tradition and by the work of Antonio de Torres.
I used very special woods, like a master quality Swiss Spruce for the soundboard, a very beautiful set of Indian rosewood for the back and sides, and an impressive flamed Spanish Cedar for the neck.
This instrument is enriched with extra decorations on the rosette that match the soundboard purfling, which is also larger and more elegant on the back and sides."
