Overview

The Mauchant brothers (1762-1844 and 1788-1871), makers and dealers in musical instruments, made excellent guitars, but for the most part they marketed those made in Mirecourt, on which they impressed their brand. This guitar is signed “Mauchant Frères”. It has a spruce top and back and sides made of mahogany. The back is platted on spruce. Neck and head platted on ebony. The condition is very good.
