Overview
Overview
Michael O’Leary is one of Ireland's most renowned luthiers. He builds around 9 guitars a year with his son Alec. His guitars are made with a special bracing system that combines features of both lattice bracing and fan bracing concepts to produce guitars which are truly phenomenal. This concept was developed as a result of constructive discussions and feedback from some of the world’s greatest players including the Assad Duo, David Russell, Berta Rojas, Manuel Barrueco, John Williams, Xuefei Yang, Aniello Desiderio, Roland Dyens and more. Many of these players own an O’Leary guitar and play it regularly in concert.
This guitar built in 2016 and numbered 205 is just as new and has almost no playing marks. It features distinctive elements of O'Leary guitars such as the intertwined rosette, the elevated fingerboard and the bracing less back. It is the highest model built by in the Irish workshop and is named "Exclusive" model.
This lattice guitar is obviously an instrument of noticeable power and ease of play, which still provides a natural feeling in both sound and playing. It has gorgeous overtones, deep basses and brilliant bouncy trebles. In addition, it is a real pleasure to play this guitar for both the left and right hand. Moreover, it is well balanced, powerful, and remarkably dynamic.
