Michel Brück - Doubletop 2012

Michel Brück - Doubletop 2012

Overview

Michel Brück is one of the most popular German guitar builders, who initially concentrated on building traditional guitars à la Antonio de Torres. Today, he still likes to build guitars in a traditional style, and is a real master of recreating historically important instruments e.g. by Enrique Garcia or Santos Hernandez.
After the turn of the millennium he became increasingly interested in the double top construction, and started to build his first guitars in this style. Today, Michel Brück’s double top guitars are among the most popular worldwide. The waiting time after ordering a guitar can be up to eight years. The sound quality and workmanship are outstanding.
This double top guitar by Michel was built in 2012 and is in really excellent condition. The top is made of fine long seasoned European Spruce. The back and sides are made of the finest red/orange CITES-certified Brazilian rosewood. A raised fingerboard enables the playing of higher positions. This guitar sounds voluminous, forceful and open and has a gorgeously crisp double top bass. Played softly the warm deeper mids and the pearly trebles fill the room. The condition is very good. On the back is a little repaired crack that is nearly invisible. The tuners are made by Alessi. A hard-shell case is included.

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
