Overview
This Simplicio model was finished in 1951. Neck, head and saddle were made in 1951 while the body was made in 1937. This guitar was played and owned by Siegfried Behrend and comes from his private collection. The guitar was played by him in many international concerts (see also autograph below). Typical for guitars of the 1930's made by Richard Jacob is the rosette consisting of simple wood shavings. The top of this guitar is made of fine spruce, back and sides are made of rosewood. The neck is made from mahogany. Also the head consists of mahogany and has an attached head plate on its front-side. The new machine heads are by Rubner.
