Overview
Richard Jacob “Weißgerber” was one of the most creative, innovative and certainly the most versatile guitar maker of the 20th century. Neither in Germany nor in the world has there been or is there any other master whose work, in its multiplicity, would be comparable to that of Richard Jacob. The variety of his models, their shapes and designs are unique.
This beautiful 1942 Concert model is absolutely fantastic and was built with the finest and clearest Brazilian rosewood (pre-CITES). It is a vibrant and lively guitar with a sweet dark Spanish sound, stunningly deep basses, and orchestral trebles. This instrument is in good condition, the top is free from cracks. Few repaired hairline cracks on the sides and a repair on the heel are the only marks of the 75 years of its life.
