More details about the guitar

About the luthier

Siccas Luthiers was founded by brothers Mirco and Manuel Sicca, who have dedicated their lives to the art of classical guitars, inspired by their late father Mario Sicca. Mario excelled not only as a soloist, but also as a respected professor at the Stuttgart Musikhochschule, and as a passionate luthier and collector. His deep love for the instrument continues to guide their vision.

Rooted in the experience behind Siccas Guitars, a reference for hand-made instruments by the world’s finest luthiers past and present, Mirco and Manuel set out to create guitars that reflect the same high standards of sound, aesthetics, and craft. This vision led to the creation of Siccas Luthiers, a project shaped by unique designs developed in-house by a team of experienced luthiers and players.

About the guitar

The Creation Doubletop was developed as a transparent instrument that allows the player’s musical intent to flow naturally. Its wide dynamic range and balanced response make it expressive at soft and strong levels alike, always maintaining a round, warm tone with a healthy amount of low-end support and without developing harshness in the upper register. The spruce top adds a distinct singing quality to the voice, giving the trebles a clear, lyrical presence and bringing extra nuance to phrasing.

Comfort is at the heart of its design. The slightly elevated fingerboard improves access to the higher register, and the carefully shaped neck profile, fret dimensions, and overall setup provide a comfortable action that follows the natural movement of the left hand. These details make the guitar effortless to play and highly responsive to touch.

Inside, the instrument features a Nomex core sandwiched between an inner cedar layer and an outer spruce top. The inner cedar helps achieve the desired stiffness of the system and provides the foundation for the instrument’s signature tone. This structure is supported by five fan braces and a transversal harmonic bar.

The back and sides are made of wenge, a dense African hardwood chosen for its tonal balance and elegant grain. The PU finish on the back and sides ensures durability and easy maintenance, while the shellac polished top allows the natural qualities of the wood to be heard unobstructed, both tonally and visually.

The Creation Doubletop lives up to its name: a pure medium for phrasing, emotion, and expressive control. It comes in a hard shell case.

Frequently Asked Questions About Classical Guitars

How do I choose the right classical guitar for my level?

Choosing the right classical guitar depends on your playing level, musical goals, and budget. Beginners benefit from studio-model guitars from renowned workshops, while advanced players and professionals often choose a handmade master guitar. We are happy to advise you personally and can send detailed sound samples and videos on request.

What is the difference between a master guitar and a studio guitar?

Master guitars are built entirely by hand in the workshop of a single luthier, using only high-quality, well-aged tonewoods. Studio guitars are made in small series, often under the supervision of the master luthier, and offer excellent value for students and ambitious amateur players.

Can I try a classical guitar at home for 14 days?

Yes — every guitar you purchase from us comes with a 14-day home approval period. This complimentary trial applies worldwide to all orders, whether you are in Germany, Europe, the USA, Asia or anywhere else. We ship your instrument fully insured in a high-quality case so you can play it under your own acoustic conditions. If the guitar is not the right one for you, simply send it back and receive a full refund of the purchase price.

Can I try a classical guitar before purchasing?

Absolutely. You are warmly invited to visit our showroom in Karlsruhe, Germany, and test the instruments at your leisure. We are happy to schedule a personal appointment. If a visit is not possible, we send detailed videos and sound samples, and offer extensive consultation by phone or video call.

What payment methods and financing options do you offer?

We accept bank transfer, PayPal, major credit cards, and Klarna. For high-value instruments, we offer individual installment plans on request. Please contact us directly — we will find a suitable solution for every budget.

How do I properly care for my classical guitar?

A classical guitar requires constant humidity between 45 and 55 percent. Store the instrument in its case with a humidifier, avoid direct sunlight and large temperature fluctuations. Change the strings regularly and clean the guitar with a soft microfiber cloth.
