Overview

Stefan Nitschke learned the art of guitar-making under the guidance of Gerhard Oldiges. Over the past 15 years, he has been building guitars with a great focus on aesthetic and sound balance. The influence of the great 19th and 20th century masters such as Antonio de Torres, Francisco Simplicio, etc. can be found in the subtlety of his guitar’s timbre and in the finesse of his skills.

This beautiful instrument named “La Lucena” is one of Stefan Nitschke’s true masterpieces, reaching the highest standards. With its bear-claw vintage-colored spruce top and first-grade Brazilian rosewood (Cites certified), the appearance of this guitar is absolutely striking. Stefan paid great attention to the marquetry details of this José Luis Romanillos model, reproduced the legendary rosette true to the original and used the legendary bridge inlays.
The playability of this guitar is fantastic, and it offers a wonderful landscape of colors. The sound is already fully open which is amazing for such a new guitar and unmistakable sign of a great instrument. The tone is clear and the timbre rich. When playing complex counterpoint, the separation of the voices is outstanding. It is overall among the best Stefan Nitschke guitars we have ever seen.
