Tobias Braun - 2012
Tobias Braun - 2012
Overview
Overview
Tobias Braun was born in 1960 in Holzminden, Germany. Shortly after, his family moved to Perchtoldsdorf near Vienna, Austria. In 1983 he built his first concert guitar and a year later he completed a course about guitar making taught by José Romanillos. A second course followed in 1988, and a third course in 1989. In the same year he completed his master's certificate in Vienna.
This guitar has a spruce top. Back and ribs are made of East Indian rosewood. A special feature is a small tornavoz. Tobias Braun got the inspiration for this from studying the traditional Spanish lutherie. A tornavoz can also be found in guitars made by Antonio de Torres, and has the aim to increase the projection capability of the guitars. The guitar has as very good repaired crack on the top.

Classical Guitars
The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.Look all products of the collection -
