Overview
Richard Jacob Weissgerber has built around 3500 instruments of unique beauty. During the first years he also sold instruments to middlemen, which attached their own labels to the guitars. This Simplicio-Model from the later period was made in 1936. Miguel Llobet said about his guitars: "This is one of the few German guitars with a Spanish sound". A special feature of those models from this time is the characteristic rosette consisting of ring patterns. The rosette is made of ebony and galalith. The top of this guitar is made of spruce and back and the sides are made of maple. The neck is made from mahogany and is colored black. Also the head consists of mahagony and has an attached head plate on its front-side. The guitar has some repairs on the sides where braces poked trough the sides. The new machine heads are by Rubner.
