Overview

Wolfgang Jellinghaus has been building guitars since he was fourteen years old. He was born in Dortmund in 1951 as the son of a guitar maker, where he grew up with guitars at an early age. Over the years, he developed a great passion and expertise for this instrument. Wolfgang Jellinghaus has been living and working in China for several years, where he builds handcrafted guitars of astonishing quality in a small workshop.

This impressive reproduction by Wolfgang Jellinghaus exhibits remarkable qualities. Inspired by the famous Manuel Ramirez guitar owned by Andrés Segovia from 1912, its design is faithful to the original, and its sound is equally impressive. It develops an impressive sound volume with a crisp and structured sound character that supports the guitarist both in concert halls and at more intimate occasions. As is typical of the top models by Wolfgang Jellinghaus, this guitar is also fully polished with shellac and built with premium solid woods.

This version of the Segovia 1912 model has a spectacular flamed maple for the back and sides and has been finished with a shellac polish. Overall, it is a very lightweight, exceptionally sensitive, and charming-sounding guitar. The tone is remarkably rich and warm. Moreover, with very comfortable playability, this Jellinghaus is an outstanding guitar in this price range.

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
