Description
Evan Kingma is a young and very talented Canadian luthier living and working in the province of Granada in Spain, where he moved to learn guitar making at the age of 19 in 2015. He made his first guitar at The European Institute of Guitar Making under the guidance of the Master Luthiers Stephen Hill and Pablo Requena. He then continued to work closely with Stephen Hill as his apprentice. He is a very open-minded luthier with some pretty modern aesthetical tastes and a great respect for the tradition.
This beautiful 2019 guitar shows a very precise craftmanship and great aesthetic appeal. A beautiful spruce for the top as well as fine Ziricote for back and sides were chosen for this fast-reacting guitar, and its sound is already quite open and mature. The very pleasant playability in combination with its warm Spanish tone make it a very velvety sounding and playful guitar. Evan Kingma is undoubtedly a very promising luthier and this guitar will satisfy and delight ambitious lovers as well as concert guitarists.
