Biography
Julia Trintschuk began playing the guitar at the age of four, initially taught by her father. At six she became a student of Prof. Mario Sicca, later continuing her education with Martin Wiedmann, Prof. Johannes Monno, Ivo and Sofia Kaltchev, and Mateus dela Fonte.
Throughout her early musical development she received numerous awards and participated in competitions including the Certamen Llobet Competition Barcelona, Deutscher Musikwettbewerb, Twents Guitar Festival Enschede, International J. K. Mertz Competition Bratislava, Forum Gitarre Wien and the International Gianni Bergamo Music Award Lugano.
Since 2009 she has taken part regularly in international guitar festivals such as the International Guitar Festival Nürtingen, International Guitar Symposium Iserlohn, Meisterkurse Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, International Guitar Festival Hersbruck, International Guitar Festival Wertingen, Stuttgart International Classical Guitar Festival and the Hamburger Gitarrenfestival. At these events she received masterclasses with Pepe Romero, Scott Tennant, William Kanengiser, Marco Tamayo, Pavel Steidl, Matthew Greif, John Dearman, Johannes Tonio Kreusch, Dmitri Illarionov, Judicael Perroy, Anabel Montesinos, Andrew York, Roland Dyens, Costas Cotsiolis, Gerald Garcia, Dale Kavanagh and other prominent figures of the international guitar scene.
She launched her performance career at the age of sixteen with Joaquin Rodrigo’s “Concierto de Aranjuez” and has since appeared as a soloist and chamber musician in Russia, Mexico, Spain, Italy, Slovakia, Poland, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands and Germany.
Her debut CD “Giocosa” was released in May 2017.
Since 2017 she has been a Savarez Artist and performs with Cantiga Creation 510 MJ strings.
She completed her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart in the class of Mateus dela Fonte.

She completed her Bachelor's degree in 2018 and her Master's degree in 2021 at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf (class of Joaquín Clerch), both with distinction. Julia Trintschuk now teaches at the Karlsruhe University of Music, is an Alhambra and Savarez artist, and has performed in more than 20 countries.
