Siccas Luthiers — Our Own Line of Classical Guitars

Siccas Luthiers — Our Own Line of Classical Guitars

How they're built

The guitars are built in selected workshops by experienced luthiers, combining traditional concepts with modern construction such as double-top and lattice. Every instrument then comes to Karlsruhe, where our team checks playability, balance and tonal nuance — the step that gives each Siccas Luthiers its clear articulation and easy response. (To understand the constructions, see our guide to fan, double-top and lattice bracing.)

The models

  • Recital — traditional build, the accessible entry point to the line.
  • Recital Contemporary — double-top lattice construction for added projection.
  • Creation Doubletop — a double-top with a warm, powerful voice.
  • Legacy Doubletop — the flagship, in spruce or cedar with Indian rosewood.

Who they're for

Because the line spans a traditional entry model through to a double-top flagship, there is a Siccas Luthiers guitar for very different players. A student or returning amateur looking for a well-built, even-sounding instrument will find one in the Recital; an advancing or performing player who needs more projection can step up to the lattice and double-top models. The common thread is the final setup in Karlsruhe — every guitar leaves with an action and response that make it genuinely easy to play, which matters as much for a beginner as for a soloist.

Why we made our own line

After decades of selecting guitars for players around the world, we wanted to offer instruments that carry that knowledge directly — well-balanced, carefully developed, and finished to our standard. We have spent years listening to what separates a merely good guitar from a truly musical one: clarity between the voices, an even response across the strings, and a tone that rewards quiet playing as much as loud. Siccas Luthiers is our attempt to build those qualities in from the start, and our way of giving players everywhere access to that experience.

The Library
  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
