Fernando Mazza is an exceptional guitar maker. First and foremost, it should be noted that he is a guitarist himself. He completed his guitar studies at the Alberto Ginastera Conservatory in Buenos Aires, although he ultimately discovered his true passion in guitar construction.

His demands as a professional performer, combined with his experience, training, and mastery of construction techniques, bring together the best of two perspectives – the player’s needs and what the craftsman can accomplish to meet them.

Fernando is a tireless artisan who does not settle for building a good guitar; his obsession is to build the best guitar. He has spent a great deal of time studying and analyzing construction styles, traditional methods, and modern techniques in order to develop a model that unites the best of both worlds: the traditional system and the most advanced construction techniques.

Fernando builds his guitars using the Australian system (Smallman type, lattice bracing), but significantly improved. He has managed to combine the strength, stability, and harmonic richness of the Australian concept with the essential sound of the Spanish guitar.

He has also added two highly valuable features. A neck with an adjustable two-way truss rod, which, together with its thin construction, enables a very low string action and results in one of the easiest-to-play guitars worldwide. Furthermore, Mazza has introduced a sound port, an elliptical opening that provides additional power and projection for both the listener and, most importantly, the guitarist.
