Andrea Tacchi - 2008

Andrea Tacchi - 2008

Overview

This “Omaggio a Bouchet” 2008 guitar witnesses the exceptional work and craftmanship of Andrea Tacchi.
Andrea Tacchi was born in Florence (Italy) in 1956 at the time the city was flourishing with artisan’s workshops and artists’ studios. This very stimulating environment and the meeting of the South American guitar maker Ricardo Brané drove him to become a luthier. In close contact to Robert Bouchet and Daniel Friederich during the 80s, he developed his craftmanship and his artistic tastes. Later on, he kept learning from other important guitar makers as Ignacio Fleta, José Romanillos and Robert Ruck. This guitar is a great technical achievement as well as an emotional tribute to Robert Bouchet and the French guitar making school of the twentieth century.
This particular guitar expresses with success both aesthetic and sound qualities that characterise Robert Bouchet’s priceless instruments. It is a light weighted concert guitar with the finest CITES-certified Brazilian rosewood quality and perfectly quarter saw spruce. It is worth pointing out that nowadays, such a beautiful dark and beautiful Brazilian rosewood log is very hard to find. The table is French-varnished with original warm-coloured shellac. It is equipped of very high-quality Rogers tuners. The guitar has only a very few playing marks and no structural issue. As the mid-century guitars of Robert Bouchet, it is a very responsive instrument with great tone contrast possibilities. The charming sound is very refined, rich and delicate. It is a very complete guitar with a very high level on every aspect expected from a concert guitar: quality of tone, sustain, sympathetic resonances, contrast and balance and power. This is a rare and outstanding instrument in every aspect of sound and aesthetics. A hard-shell case is included.

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
