Antonius Müller - 2020 Doubletop
Antonius Müller - 2020 Doubletop
Overview
Overview
Antonius Müller was born in 1960 in Taunus. After finishing secondary school in 1976, he began a three-year apprenticeship with Dieter Hopf under the guidance of Dragan Musulin and concluded it in 1979. After completing his military service, he returned to work for Dieter Hopf and Reinholt Seiffert, where he also met Franz Ulrich Albert. After receiving his master diploma, together with Franz Ulrich Albert he opened a workshop under the name “Albert & Müller”. Today, Antonius Müller’s double-top guitars have become highly sought after, not only among professional artists because of their sound and expressiveness and their dynamic range, and therefore the waiting time for a new guitar is 12 years.
The playability of this instrument is outstanding, providing ease and comfort for both the right and left hand. Its phenomenal volume is matched by a long sustain and orchestral sympathetic resonances, contributing to its lyrical qualities. The guitar produces a tone that is both room-filling and warm, characterized by a dark timbre and a superb separation of voices. The balance between the bass and treble is consistently even, making it a versatile instrument suited to a wide range of musical styles and techniques.
This 2020 model is not only a wonderful instrument in terms of playability and sound but also a source of inspiration and satisfaction for the player. As a pre-loved instrument, it remains in excellent condition, showing only superficial playing marks that do not detract from its performance or aesthetic appeal. The marks from a guitar support suction cup on the back are purely aesthetic and speak to the guitar’s history and journey. This Antonius Müller guitar is a beautiful blend of visual elegance, exceptional sound quality, and player-friendly design, making it a prized possession for any guitarist.
