Overview
Bernhard Kresse is a very respected German luthier based in Köln. He restored an impressive number of period guitars throughout his career and gathered an extensive knowledge on these instruments. Many of his guitars were recorded by international guitarists in the past years.
This “Type-B” model was built by Bernhard Kresse in 2017 and is in excellent condition. It is very inspired from a 1912 Manuel Ramirez. Lightly built in the Spanish tradition, this guitar has a very warm rich tone with ample basses. The setup is perfect, and this guitar is a real pleasure to play. In addition, Bernhard Kresse used the best quality of Brazilian rosewood (CITES certified) for this instrument and the Scheller tuners are sublime.
