Carsten Kobs is a well-established German luthier based in Hamburg, Germany. He is one of the pioneers of double-top construction and thus one of the first generations of German luthiers to adopt this innovative building technique. His double-top guitars are known for their distinct lightness, responsiveness, and volume. The list of guitarists playing his instruments is impressive, including Manuel Barrueco, David Russel, and Aniello Desiderio. With a long and ever-growing waiting list, Kobs guitars are rarely available, which is why we are especially pleased to present his latest guitar.
This 2011 model is a great opportunity to get a first-class double-top concert guitar at an attractive price. The demand for Carsten Kobs guitars is currently particularly high due to their formidable characteristics and is constantly increasing. This beautiful guitar is something very special, as the top is made of spruce on the outside and cedar inside and has a traditional fan bracing. As a result, it develops a unique sound that is both precise and warm, powerful, multi-faceted and rich. On top of that, the playability is superb, and the premium Scheller tuners underline the high value of this inspiring guitar.
