Overview

Charalampos Koumridis is a Greek guitar maker and self-taught luthier. Being a craftsman before getting into guitar construction was a great help to soon develop into an accomplished guitar maker. He made his first classical guitar for his daughter and immediately fell in love with the art of guitar making and the history of the classical guitar. Over the years, after extensive study of both the traditional Spanish concept and modern constructions, Koumridis developed his own sound using three different models: Traditional, Lattice and Double-Top.

This Doubletop guitar features a cedar top with rich grain and warm color, beautifully complemented by cocobolo back and sides that boast striking patterns and red hue. The build incorporates Charalampos’ unique bracing design and an elevated fretboard, enhancing playability and response. It also includes Charalampos’ patented carbon frame design, which offers increased power and projection without sacrificing tonal quality. It ensures a dynamic and expressive sound that maintains clarity and balance. This innovative structure ensures a dynamic and expressive sound, maintaining exceptional clarity and balance throughout. A true masterpiece, this guitar embodies a well executed blend of tradition and innovation, making it a great option for performers and students.

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
