Charalampos Koumridis - 2024 No. 245
Overview
Overview
Charalampos Koumridis is a Greek guitar maker and self-taught luthier. Being a craftsman before getting into guitar construction was a great help to soon develop into an accomplished guitar maker. He made his first classical guitar for his daughter and immediately fell in love with the art of guitar making and the history of the classical guitar. Over the years, after extensive study of both the traditional Spanish concept and modern constructions, Koumridis developed his own sound using three different models: Traditional, Lattice and Double-Top.
The 2024 traditional model, No. 245, is a remarkable guitar that blends exquisite craftsmanship with powerful tonal performance. Featuring a thin spruce top with a seven-fan bracing design inspired by Daniel Friederich's late 1960s patterns, this guitar offers both aesthetic and acoustic refinement. The vibrant Madagascar rosewood back and sides, paired with intricate inlay details, give the instrument a distinctive and joyful character. Its sound is impressively powerful and responsive, with a wide tonal spectrum and clear feedback, enhancing the guitarist’s expressive range. The raised fingerboard ensures impeccable playability, providing comfort and ease for the left hand. Although, pre-loved, this guitar is in mint conditio.
