Dario Garcia - 2022 "Concierto"

Dario Garcia - 2022 "Concierto"

Overview

Dario García is the son of Antonio J. García, who learned the craft of guitar making from two of Granada’s most noted and influential luthiers, Paco Santiago Marín and Rolf Eichinger. The influence of the Granada school is noticeable in his work, but of course, he also adds his personal touch to each and every instrument he builds. Dario creates guitars of various designs for both classical and flamenco guitars and is always keen to combine the best possible materials with detailed workmanship.

The guitars coming from his workshop all have a classical design that follows the Spanish tradition of the 20th century. Nevertheless, Dario García occasionally integrates modern features such as double sides to improve the projection and bearing capacity of the tone.

This beautiful modern concert instrument was built following the Spanish tradition yet incorporates modern features, such as double sides construction with a cypress inner layer. As a result, a guitar that has a significant volume and projection, and at the same time, remains faithful to its Spanish roots. The premium spruce soundboard and Indian rosewood back and sides have been chosen with the utmost care. The clear trebles sing lively, while the deep and punchy basses provide a solid sound foundation to this guitar. One will also note this guitar's exceptional playability, making it an instrument whose quality is definitely beyond its price tag.

  • Classical Guitar

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
