Eugenio Naso - 2023 Concert

Eugenio Naso - 2023 Concert

Overview

Eugenio Naso, born in 1987, is a respected Italian luthier with a deep passion for woodworking and music. His journey to becoming one of Italy's premier guitar makers began in childhood when his fascination with creating musical instruments was first kindled.

In his youth, Naso was drawn towards woodworking and music, two interests eventually converging into his ultimate vocation. In 2010, he crafted his first classical guitar, an endeavor that sparked his passion further and led him toward a path of professional mastery.

In his pursuit of knowledge, Naso attended the prestigious Civic School of Lutherie in Milan, an institution known for producing some of the finest luthiers in the world. Under the expert guidance of the faculty, he acquired a profound understanding of the techniques and nuances of lutherie, honing his skills and deepening his passion for the art.

Upon graduation, Naso was fortunate to secure an apprenticeship with Maestro Lorenzo Lippi, a highly respected Italian luthier. This period of hands-on training and exposure to Lippi's craftsmanship provided Naso with invaluable experience. He learned not only the art of lutherie but also the discipline, patience, and attention to detail that is required to excel in this meticulous craft.

Naso currently runs his workshop in Bologna, Italy. Here, he primarily constructs classical guitars, devoting his time and energy to crafting instruments that sing with elegance and passion. Each of his creations is a testament to his dedication to the craft, reflecting his expertise and personal style.

Naso's instruments are admired for blending traditional Spanish influences and modern conceptions. This unique approach favors a balance of sound, dynamic control, and a rich timbre. He masterfully fuses traditional techniques with innovative thinking, resulting in guitars that are visually beautiful and produce exceptional sound quality.

This 2023 Eugenio Nasso guitar is a spectacular embodiment of modern Italian luthier craftsmanship. As an instrument that firmly positions itself at the forefront of the Italian guitar-making renaissance, its quality and design are extraordinary.

The crowning glory of this guitar is its exquisitely designed spruce soundboard. Adhering to the time-honored traditions of guitar making, it features seven fan bracings, expertly carved to enhance the tonal resonance of the instrument. The resulting auditory profile is rich, deep, and completely captivating, offering an experience that any discerning musician will appreciate.

Clad in classic Indian rosewood, both the back and sides of this guitar not only serve as a testament to its fine craftsmanship but also contribute to its impressive tonal quality. This choice of timber lends itself to a warm, well-rounded sound while simultaneously providing a visually stunning contrast to the paleness of the spruce top.

The 2023 Eugenio Nasso isn't just a beautiful guitar; its performance potential is equally impressive. Playability is truly exceptional, with a comfortable neck profile that facilitates intricate fingerwork and allows for effortless transitions across the fretboard. Its volume is impressive, capable of filling any space - from intimate venues to larger concert halls - with its resonant, soulful sound.

One of the standout features of this new-generation guitar is the masterful balance between the trebles and basses. The harmonious interplay between these contrasting elements results in a versatile instrument capable of lending itself beautifully to various musical pieces, genres, and styles. The 2023 Eugenio Nasso is an exceptional guitar from Italy's new generation of master luthiers. With its beautiful aesthetics, traditional design elements, excellent playability, and versatile sound, it is an instrument poised to inspire and excite any musician lucky enough to play it.

  • Classical Guitar

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
