Overview
Falko Römmich was born in Stuttgart in 1985. He started his apprenticeship as a guitar maker in the workshop of his father, the established German guitar maker Karl-Heinz Römmich, in 2005. At the same time, he attended the violin-making school in Mittenwald, where he graduated in 2008. Two years later, he started to work alongside his father and, since then, has been building first quality concert guitars in the traditional Spanish tradition.
The 2024 Falko Römmich guitar, emerging directly from the esteemed Römmich workshop, is a testament to the continuation and evolution of a rich family tradition in guitar craftsmanship. Adhering to his father's construction methods and sound philosophy, Falko Römmich has created a guitar that not only sounds beautiful but also embodies the essence of classic guitar-making. The cedar soundboard of this instrument ensures a warm tonal quality and exceptional responsiveness, a hallmark of Römmich's meticulous attention to acoustic detail. Complemented by a set of dark chocolate-colored Indian rosewood, the guitar also boasts an elegant aesthetic. Falko's background as a former watchmaker is reflected in his extraordinary attention to detail, making this guitar not just an instrument, but a work of art.
