Francisco Muñoz is one of the leading figures among the newer generation of Spanish guitar makers. Working from Granada, a city with a rich tradition of luthiery and a deep connection to the classical guitar, he has developed a style that reflects both local heritage and individual refinement. His international recognition was solidified by winning first prize at the 2nd International “Antonio Marín Montero” Guitar Making Competition, a distinction that highlighted the precision and elegance of his work within a highly competitive field.

This 2026 Especial Homenaje model offers a clear view of Francisco Muñoz’s refined craftsmanship. The traditional construction features a spruce top and flamed maple back and sides, finished in French polish. The striking figure of the maple subtly elevates the instrument’s visual character, adding depth to its restrained and well-executed decorative elements. How do I properly care for my classical guitar?
