Jim Redgate - 1997 - Ana Vidovic Lattice

Jim Redgate - 1997 - Ana Vidovic Lattice

Overview

Jim Redgate is a highly sought-after Australian luthier, known for his guitars built for artists such as Ana Vidovic, Pepe Roméro, and Odair Assad. Jim Redgate’s instruments have their own sound and touch. The breath-taking volume combined with rich harmonics and impressive clarity of sound is quite unique. The playability is fantastic, and the guitars are relatively light in weight compared to the Australian standard.

Not only is the sound of a Redgate guitar unique, but the overall design and craftsmanship are simply exceptional. Built in  1997, this instrument has all the qualities you would expect from a Redgate. Bold, rich basses paired with articulate, dense trebles make for an instrument that is both powerful and singing. Playability is fantastic, string action is set quite low, and the guitar can handle any type of repertoire.

The condition is remarkable considering that it is 24 years old. There are no cracks or repairs to be seen. This Redgate owns that typical sound in its DNA that Australian guitars are known for and has been inspiring many musicians and guitar music enthusiasts for many years. Except for the rosette design and the bevel, this model is exactly the same in construction as the Jim Redgate guitar played by Ana Vidovic.

While this guitar is sold, these are ready for you

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
