Overview

Kim Lissarrague is a recognized Australian luthier. He began building guitars at the very early age of thirteen and is now established in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney. Kim makes a limited number of high-quality guitars per year and developed his own designs based on the “Australian School” of guitar making. In other words, his guitars are lattice-braced with an arched back, offering a huge projection, clarity, and sustain.

This brand new 2022 Kim Lissarrague, numbered 380, is an absolute powerhouse. The expressive energy emanating from this guitar is simply amazing, and this instrument by Kim Lissarrague definitely belongs in our top 5 most powerful guitars. Not only does it impress with its volume of sound, but also with its very rich and flexible tone with great dynamic possibilities. Built with a very thin lattice braced cedar soundboard and ziricote back and sides, it associates powerful sound, warm precise tone, and high-quality craftsmanship

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
