Overview

Lisa Weinzierl is one of the most talented luthiers of the new generation. After her training as a guitar maker at the renowned instrument-making school in Mittenwald, she gained experience with many established guitar makers such as Gernot Wagner, Andreas Kirschner, Gert Esmyol, Peter Ziegler, Christopher Schuetz, and Leo Sprenger. With her master craftsman diploma in plucked instrument making Lisa received a gold medal and the master craftsman award of the Bavarian state government. Lisa is currently working for the London instrument and bow makers W.E. Hill and Sons under the directors Stefan-Peter Greiner and Robert Brewer Young. In this creative and vibrant workshop, she builds her guitars.

Some guitars are truly unique, and this is definitely one of them. The craftsmanship that Lisa Weinzierl displays is simply impressive. When you consider how much work she puts into each of her instruments, it's easy to understand why her annual production run is limited to just a few guitars. For this particular model, Lisa chose a beautiful set of flamed maple, a tonewood that has been used in instrument making for centuries and which she learned to master at the world-famous workshop W.E. Hill and Sons in London. Aside from the choice of woods, Lisa has stayed true to her concept with elaborate traditional bracing, a raised fingerboard, a beautifully rounded neck with a german "V" joint, and premium quality German-made Scheller tuners. A nice detail is the round neck base, a reference to the maple guitars of Antonio de Torres, which also have this wonderful characteristic.

In terms of sound, this guitar is also of outstanding quality and makes the heart of every guitar lover beat faster. The response is immediate, but at the same time not brash, so that both an accomplished guitarist, as well as an amateur and enthusiast can take great pleasure in this instrument. It has a clear voice, with a warm character and excellent separation. At the same time, this Weinzierl guitar sounds balanced and harmonious in all registers. The spread of the overtone spectrum is remarkably present giving it a wonderful overall character and making it a tonally complex guitar that is extremely inspiring and versatile.

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
