Overview

Mirko Migliorini graduated in 2002 from the prestigious “Civica Scuola di Liuteria” in Milan, Italy. He attended many workshops by world-renowned guitar makers that led him to build guitars following his philosophy. Mirko has been awarded important prizes in classical guitar making. For instance, the third prize at the 5th International Guitar Making Competition of Baveno in 2001, and the “Golden Guitar,” a very important recognition to Lutherie assigned during Milan's “26th International Guitar Conference”, an award that only a few luthiers have received. Furthermore, his instruments are known for their features, refined style, and exceptional quality.

The 2023 Mirko Migliorini double-top guitar is an exceptional instrument that blends modern design with traditional craftsmanship. The guitar is carefully crafted with a spruce double-top soundboard that produces a rich and resonant sound. At the same time, the Indian rosewood back and sides provide a warm and balanced tonal character. Mirko has invested significant effort into creating an instrument that is both effortless to play and capable of meeting the demands of contemporary guitarists at all levels. The guitar features traditional techniques and design elements, such as a classic rosette and headstock, that add to its timeless appeal. In terms of finishing, Mirko has used a personal recipe of shellac that is strengthened with nitrocellulose and other resins. This unique combination creates a thin yet strong finish that enhances the guitar's sound quality. The finish is also highly durable and will protect the guitar for years. Overall, the 2023 Mirko Migliorini double-top guitar is an exceptional instrument that will inspire musicians of all levels.

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
